New York City

The #4 Place to Travel: New York City

The Big Apple! America's most populated city is filled with sites to see and things to do. Home of the Yankees, Knicks and Giants, New York is known not only for sports, but for the music, the arts, and the scenery.

The Empire State building. It is one of New York's most famous buildings and one of the tourists' favorite attractions. For only $27, you can go all the way up to the 86th floor. It's a great way to see all of the New York landscape and really take in the beauty of the city.

Also a very popular attraction in New York City is the Statue of Liberty. Go and visit Lady Liberty as it is a site to see and tours go all day. For tickets visit: http://harbortours.statuecruises.com/

Adding to the list of places to see in New York  City, is Central Park. Take a nice walk or a light jog through Central Park. How about a nice date in a horse carriage. Central Park is completely free and during the winter, there is ice skating on the river.

What New York City trip wouldn't be complete without a trip to Yankee Stadium. Visit a Yankee game with thousands of New Yorkers screaming profanity at Boston fans. Go see  Derek Jeter live while he is still playing and enjoy a New York style hot dog at Yankee stadium. Tickets start at a pricey $75 in the nosebleed section but are well worth the experience. The Snoopy and Woodstock balloon float makes its way down 6th Avenue during the 87th Macy's Thanksgiving day parade in New York

Come and spend your Thanksgiving in New York to see the very popular Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Enjoy the bands and floats in the streets as happily shiver in the cold. Following the parade, go and shop in New York on Black Friday to see what kind of crazy deals you can get.

One more thing that is highly suggested is to go experience the life of a new Yorker and ride the subway. It's a fun experience to see how people get around in New York. Because there is no room for cars, people either walk everywhere or take the subway. A corny but fun experience while in New York.
